Lovely Cards
You’ll pore over the imaginative cards at Jezebel, searching for the perfect silhouette. The names alone are worth a visit. For your viewing pleasure: “the magpie with her dinosaurs and pearls,” “Imogen Dahl takes flight,” and “a madcap, punch drunk ballad for Aubrey and Oscar,” among others. Truly a world apart.
(Boxed cards for $15.)

Fake Diamond Necklace
Danielle Maveal has several variations on this delicate pendant. The modern chair, the Chihuahua, the goldfish. I already got mine, because I know you kids and how you rush in. Get yours while they’re still cheap. This is her Etsy store, so if you like the design but don’t see any images that grab you, check back for more options as they pop up.

Laptop Lunch Bento Box Set
A reader wrote in to say: “This is an awesome lunchbox for kids, my standby birthday gift! Compartment setup really encourages people to avoid pre-packaged foods in favor of more eco-friendly (and healthy) options. Everyone on the playground has been asking me about ours.” The site calls them American-style bento boxes and says they’re dishwasher safe. Sounds good to me.

Collected Poems by Jane Kenyon
Collected Poems Jane Kenyon is my among my favorite poets. Two reasons why: The Shirt The shirt touches his neck
and smooths over his back.
It slides down his sides.
It even goes down below his belt-
down into his pants.
Lucky shirt.
Let Evening Come Let the light of late afternoon
shine through chinks in the barn, moving
up the bales as the sun moves down. Let the cricket take up chafing
as a woman takes up her needles
and her yarn. Let evening come. Let dew collect on the hoe abandoned
in long grass. Let the stars appear
and the moon disclose her silver horn. Let the fox go back to its sandy den.
Let the wind die down. Let the shed
go black inside. Let evening come. To the bottle in the ditch, to the scoop
in the oats, to air in the lung
let evening come. Let it come, as it will, and don’t
be afraid. God does not leave us
comfortless, so let evening come.(Hardcover.)

Fresh Hand and Body Lotion
Raw Beauty sent me a bottle of their “Black Raspberry Vanilla” lotion a while ago, and I didn’t pay much attention. This is because I’m a packaging whore, and I didn’t like the bottle. After all, half the appeal of a good lotion is how it looks pretty on the counter. Then I set the bottle on my desk and started using it when my hands were feeling chapped. It leaves my thirsty hands feeling silky and it has a subtle scent – like rich-girl neck. It also reminds me of a bowl of cream with a few raspberries tossed in. Anyway, when I realized that I might just order more when my stash runs out, I figured it was high time to tell you guys about it. Hemp oil plus carrot extract equals crazy softness.
