York Glasses
Once, while working at Crate and Barrel, I broke about 500 hand-blown glasses from Poland. That incident has prompted me to stick with sturdier machine-made glassware in my home.
I don’t fear letting the kids use these glasses, but the heavy base and clear glass still makes it an attractive cocktail glass at parties.
And when one breaks, as it inevitably does, it’s inexpensive to replace one. Or 500.

Lapsac
This bag has a padded pocket to hold your laptop. My laptop is so small it could hold two of them easily.
It has plenty of room for me to lug all my things while traveling or working at the coffee shop without a second purse necessary.
I love that it doesn’t look like a laptop case screaming, “Please! Steal! Me!”

Glazed Fabric Pleated Clutches
I received one of these as a gift, and it’s smashing. The glazed fabric looks and feels like leather but is vegan-friendly, and the wristlet strap lets you hold your purse and your cocktail while you reach for the snack table with your free hand.

She’s a mom, not a nun. These soft jersey pajamas have hot pink contrast stitching and waist tie. The capri knickers have cute ties at the knees. As practical as her sweats, but a great deal more fashionable.
