But for all day endeavours I’m loving the Camelbak MULE, as the Octane XCT hits it’s storage limit beyond a few gels and a multitool, whereas the MULE can just swallow it up, along with a camera, first aid gear, clothing and real food.

Another good variation of the CamelBak Mule, with an excellent reservoir and a comfortable fit. As a pack for a day’s riding, it works well – but awkward compartment access when the bladder is full holds it back from achieving full marks.

Camelbak's M.U.L.E. name stands for 'medium to ultra long endeavors' and this pack lives well beyond that name. It's supremely comfortable, uses arguably the best reservoir and valve in the business, and makes organizing a huge amount of gear hassle-free.

CamelBak’s MULE has always been a safe bet for a big-but-not-too-big pack, and the current model continues the trend. You’ll find a three-litre reservoir and 12.5 litres of cargo space split between an array of pockets.
