Reviews Summary

Here's what the reviewers think about the Deuter ACT:

Reviewers like these things about the Deuter ACT

  • Users found Deuter ACT best choice for long backpacking tours. It carries enough clothing and gear for traveling for long term in different seasons.
  • It never feels too heavy despite carrying so much items thanks to its clever built which eases weight off your back. So, you can carry it for long distances without any muscle strain.
  • It’s the clear winner in terms of convenience and water resistance. You can easily reach the gear as it also opens from the bottom. It also has an optional flap at the bottom area so you can carry dirty clothes separately.
  • Weighs around 3lbs 14 oz, it is even lighter than other similar sized packs.
  • Another best part is that it comes with lots of compartments and pockets to organize things easily. The beauty of Deuter ACT is its 10 liter top compartment that you can clip off. You can keep control on every small thing in its zippered pouch on waist belt.
  • Thanks to its back ventilation pads, airflow is not stopped and you can easily carry it on hot summer days. You no longer need to deal with sweat-stained back.

Reviewers don't like these things

  • One problem is that this pack is only water resistant. Some backpackers reported their clothes were a bit damp closer to the outside due to heavy downpours. You will need a rain cover in wet climates.
  • It’s not that stylish. It looks a bit less sporty and it has less color options.

Great long-hike or trekking backpack that is lightweight and very comfortable. Has some small unique features, but could do with more organizational pockets.
