The Granite Gear Leopard VC is a bag sold for the weekend hiker or minimalist alpine climber be it a full time lifestyle or, like myself, whenever the opportunity presents itself. But it is more than that too.

It’s a great pack for those family days at the theme park or local trails beach or ski area. Its versatility for this suburban outfitter has it not in the storage bin but on the hook next to the bike somewhere in between my snowboard and climbing gear.

The pack carries weight exactly how it should, and handled all manner of beatings, from rain to scraping against brush while off trail. If you’re in the market for a new bag, and want one that can do it all, the Leopard should be on your list.
