Based on 753 reviews

Weight: 1.2-2.6 oz
Price: $$

  • The Xantha is rated worse than the Falcon.
  • In total, we have checked and analyzed 773 reviews of the two bags.

Only the Falcon is available in these colors:

The Maxpedition Xantha and Falcon hunting backpacks are wonderful lightweight alternatives to the traditional steel-framed backpack design. In place of a steel frame, these packs integrate synthetic and aluminum structures into their front-facing rack to preserve their upright shape without adding any additional weight to the user's load. The most noticeable difference between the two packs is the Falcon's more curvaceous, form-fitting shape (which correspond to its multiple layers of carrying compartments), in addition to the Xantha's more numerous exterior pockets and elastic webbing.
