Mystery Ranch in general has proven itself as the premier producer of tactical backpacks. Both packs provide excellent protection during emergencies but they still differ in remarkable ways. The Glacier is an excellent backpack for frigid conditions due to its warm materials and heat absorbing exterior.

The Sphinx is better suited for the summer and heat because of its ventilation system. If you plan on packing something that can't handle hot temperatures, the Sphinx will keep the weather from affecting it too much. It's a better choice for someone living in warm conditions.

Gear Junkie

If you’re looking for a pack that makes long hauls a little easier and lighter on the pressure points the Glacier is a good bet. It’s what one would expect from a company that produces packs to haul 150-pound loads for the military.
