The North Face Recon vs The North Face Surge

The North Face Surge
The North Face Surge
Rating 4.6 based on 3,931 reviews
The North Face Recon and The North Face Surge are some more basic upright bags with shoulder straps. The North Face Recon features more pockets and linking straps, but little insulation on the shoulder straps. This is ideal for a more lightweight bag, but could cause discomfort to the user.

It also features wider side pockets, but a smaller secondary front pocket than the North Face Surge. The North Face Surge does not have additional small pockets of the Recon, but it does feature two side ventilators and elastic mesh side pockets. Like the Recon, the Surge also has fairly thin shoulder straps, which could cause discomfort to the user while carrying larger objects as the product intends.
