It is a reliable bag to have around. Its convenient top-loading design makes it fast and easy to access, so you don’t have to stop what you’re doing just to get something out. Whether you’re looking for a new daypack, a bag to commute to work with, or a bag to hold your yoga gear, this bag is ideal for just about any application you throw at it.

Patagonia Black Hole vs The North Face Base Camp

The North Face Base Camp
The North Face Base Camp
Rating 4.5 based on 3,982 reviews
While each product represents a distinctly different brand, the Patagonia Black Hole and the North Face Base Camp share several essential similarities. The most noticeable of the similarities between these duffel bags are their neoprene coatings and singular duffel strap. At a glance, they starkly differ in shape, with the North Face Base Camp's rounded design, compared to the Base Camp's more rectangular appearance.

Additionally, while both bags feature a similar single duffel strap, the Base Camp's strap-design carries with it the potential to function slightly more dynamically than the Black Hole's. The Base Camp's single strap is reinforced by several other straps, which are intended to distribute the weight of the bag more evenly, thereby preserving the product's longevity. However, it only features a simple single strap for horizontal use; which, while more ergonomic, does not distribute its load's weight as well as the Base Camp's complicated strap-function.
