Here’s what the reviewers think about the Trident Aegis:

Reviewers like these things about the Trident Aegis

  • According to users, the Trident Aegis iPhone case consists of a two-piece design and includes a clear adhesive screen protector for 360-degree protection of the device.
  • Reviewers noted that it is a more affordable option that loses some of its rugged durability in exchange for a simpler, more appealing design.
  • Testers said that its base layer is made of a soft silicone to absorb shock then couples with an exterior polycarbonate hard-shell for added durability.
  • Testers found out that equipping the Aegis to the notably slim iPhone 6 Plus doesn’t add too much of a bulk factor.
  • Other testers discovered that the case’s silicone edges help to offer increased grip-ability.
  • Reviewers noted that all of the iPhone 6 Plus features remain accessible with the case equipped except for the SIM-card tray that remains permanently covered.
  • Reviewers pointed out the presence of a circular cutout that showcases the iconic Apple branding.
  • They noticed that it shows no visible wear.
  • Several testers also indicated that its she silicone material helps absorb the impact from falls or drops.
  • Other reviewers also found that the case’s build quality is far from impressive.
  • Users discovered that the case’s appeal factor and overall protective benefits make it a worthwhile purchase.

Reviewers don’t like these things

  • A tester said that the silicone material is hard to sit correctly within the plastic hard-shell if put around the iPhone first.

The Gadgeteer

I feel confident that the Trident Aegis case for the Nexus 6 phone is highly impact resistant but at the expense of added size and heft (I suppose you can make anything impact resistant if you wrap enough rubber around it). I also found it challenging to hold the rubber covers over the ports out of the way to connect my charging cable and headphones.
